Windows Icon Files Path. There is a hack to change to the windows 7 folder icon and one to go back to the default windows 10 folder icon. The easiest way to access the windows cursors folder is to open the start menu and type cursors in the search field.the start menu will display several results, but the first one under files should be a folder labeled cursors, as shown on the screenshot.
Properties > customize > change icon. Please note that the file path will be wrapped inside double inverted commas. It supports ico files, dlls and exes but icon libraries (.icl) are not supported.
Download the zip archive which contains the empty icon.
If windows had an ico file for each icon it uses, that would make for a considerable number of icon files. Search more than 600,000 icons for web & desktop here. Now just navigate to the path where you have saved the icons. I haven't looked in seven yet.
