Save Icon Disappeared Word. I can open adobe reader from a desktop icon, taskbar, and through the start menu> all apps, but in all instances there is no 'actual' icon but what looks like a placeholder. What has happened to microsoft wrd?
Windows 10 and windows 7. It will take a little bit of research. If you're just creating the document for your own personal use, save as word.
I can't unpin it now, nor open files from it when i right click, though i can still move it around in the taskbar.
I had to turn off the autosave on the quick access toolbar last week on microsoft word. My documents are still there, but i used to have the icon on my desktop and all of a sudden it has disappeared. If your windows 10 desktop icons are missing, there may be an issue with either your icon settings or your core windows system. If you're just creating the document for your own personal use, save as word.
